A FITNESS JOURNEY
part 1

This is where it started: the realization that something needed to change, enough was absolutely enough. I spent the first year really understanding my body and setting a standard for what I knew I would commit to and bring into my life as my new reality. Quire simply put, I spent the year defining what I would, and no longer tolerate, and what I could and could not commit to as a new reality for exercise, mindset, and nutrition.

The journey of designing your life, your health and, your personal self takes time. Be patient with this process while demanding the best from yourself.

This, is my year one…….

It is mind-blowing how INCREDIBLE it is, what the body CAN do.... IF you give it the right tools.

The photo you clicked on to get here, is a progress photo for February 2021 - February 2022, a one year journey of fitness. The video above, is February 2021 - July 2022, a 17 month journey. Currently, I am thinking about what the two year transformation story will be. Why? Because as you are about to read, Mindset plays a big role.

••• Actually, MINDSET plays the KEY role!
You will get nowhere without a clearly defined goal that you can see already achieved, and appropriated in real time, in your life.
You have to believe what your body IS capable of. One of my trainers, has had knee surgery, and still has a broken back. Another trainer, complete overhaul on his arm from a soccer accident. Your body CAN do more than you give it the opportunity for. Believe that.
Oh, and you do actually have the time. It's a B.S. lie you tell yourself that you don't.
(the above goes for any area of your life: fitness, money, relationships, all of it.)

•• Next up, the right PRODUCTS.
There are so MANY B.S. products on the market loaded with stimulants, outrageous levels of caffeine (I have seen some that are 600+ mg x day) and laxatives (psyllium powder) and artificial flavoring (hits the central nervous system) .... ladies, READ YOUR DAMN LABELS! I know I never have to doubt the labels on my products and I still get mildly disappointed when someone takes my word for it. I want to see you READ and UNDERSTAND your labels!

• Lastly, there is absolutely NO substitute for MOVEMENT.
Cardio / Strength either, or both... just GET MOVING. There are no words that can describe the feeling of feeling strong, having mobility, flexibility, stamina. It affects every area of your life! Hormones, mood, appetite, energy, libido, and more. I promise you, that you have time. You know how I know? You're reading this. That's why. It means you were scrolling and rolling. Now, you need to get up and move. Be a baller, not a faller. Start where you can, with what you have: Walking is free. There are so many heavy things in nature to lift. I started in Feb with 30 minutes 5 days x week. A few months ago I moved that to 1 hour, 7 days x week. Today, focus on a goal of 9 - 10 hours x week and or 6,000 calories burned. That transition by the way, was EFFORTLESS because I am SO locked into my goal and how I desire to see myself in one year.

With all 3 above, it is about CONSISTENCY and getting a routine. No, I am not an expert. I am not a personal trainer. And no, I do not want to be. I'm just a mom, a wife, a small town girl that was sick and tired of feeling like shit, having the tools, and just not knowing how to use them. So I got off my ass, and did something about it. With the right products, and the right mindset and the right routine.

My best advice: put your tools in your daily path. I can't start my day, without walking past my exercise equipment. My supplements are in my daily path. And my goal was clear: "I am so happy and grateful now that I am in the best shape of my life from Young Living products and a solid routine that I can share with and inspire others to do the same."

Why was that goal important? Because I want to see YOU healthy, and I wanted to use my own progress photos to share with you. Not someone else's success, MY success so that I can tell you personally, what it really takes.

I know you're wondering what I use / do and since I'm not all "PM for the deets," here you go:

Supplements: To my DAILY core routine, I added
• 2, to 4 additional ounces of NingXia Red (2oz at 10am / 2oz at noon / 2oz at 2pm)
• Replace 1, or 2 meals x day with Balance Complete / Power Meal / Pure Protein / Slique (whichever you prefer or a combo)
