STAIN REMOVAL

First, let's start with staple Laundry Room Items:

• Arm & Hammer Super Washing Soda

• ZOTE Laundry Bar (or homemade Laundry Bar)

• Liquid Castile Soap

• Hydrogen Peroxide

• Lemon Essential Oil

• Thieves Household Cleaner

• Baking Soda

• Mrs Stuart's Bluing Agent

• Plant Based Laundry Detergent (DIY, Thieves or Wild Harvest are my choices)

• Clean, (not rags) white cotton facial cloths, and hand towels for stain blotting

• Distilled White Vinegar

• Thieves Liquid Dish Soap

• Vodka

WHEN REMOVING A STAIN

• do not rub the area with a cloth (you do not want to "rub" the stain in, you want to "lift" the stain out)

• lift the stain by placing a clean, dry white towel or cloth under the stain, treat the stain accordingly, and using a damp clean white cloth, blot the area until the stain has fully lifted
  

PERSPIRATION STAINS

• Gently clean the area with water, and liquid castile soap.

• Hydrogen Peroxide may be used on finer fabrics.

• Lay in the sun to dry.

• This type of stain should be cared for immediately.

MILDEW STAINS

• Mix together: the juice from half of a raw tomato and half of a fresh lemon, then add 1 Tbsp salt, 1 Tbsp super washing soda, 1 Tbsp corn starch and 3 Tbsp ZOTE grated soap dissolved in hot water, and 1 capful Thieves HH Cleaner.

• Apply to area while mixture is still warm

• Lay in sun to dry.

• Afterwards, wash normally using Super Washing Soda as a pre wash.

COFFEE STAINS

• Attend to this stain immediately: by stretching the stained portion over a bowl and pouring boiling water through the fabric

• If stain has set in or been neglected, make a solution of: 1 Tbsp castile soap, 1 Tbsp vodka, 1 Tbsp milk, 1 Tbsp Thieves HH Cleaner and the yolk of an egg. Work the solution into the stained area, and once lightened or dissolved, rinse under warm running water and hand wash in a solution of 2 Tbsp grated ZOTE soap, and 1 Tbsp Thieves Household Cleaner and 1 tsp Thieves liquid dish soap.

• Rinse and wash as usual.

• Line dry in the sun.

BLOOD STAINS

• Attend to stain immediately by: spraying with Stain Remover recipe.

• Let sit 5 minutes (until it is done foaming)

• Immediately wash as normal adding 1/2 capful Thieves Household Cleaner to detergent.

INK STAIN

• Dab Thieves Hand Purifier directly onto the area using a Q-tip

• or use a cotton ball of milk dabbed onto the area to lift the ink

• on stronger fabrics like cotton, dab area with cream of tarter, a few drops of lemon essential oil and vinegar diluted in warm water. Use the solution while it is still warm

IRON OR RUST STAINS

• Cover the spot with a layer of coarse salt mixed with lemon essential oil and Thieves Household Cleaner to make a paste.

• Place garment in the sun to dry, occasionally applying fresh solution until the stain has been removed

GRASS STAINS

• Make a solution of 1 Tbsp Citric Acid, 1 Tbsp Thieves Household Cleaner, 5 drops lemon essential oil and 1/4 Cup warm water

• Apply to garment while solution is still warm

• Hand wash in solution of grated ZOTE soap and Thieves Household Cleaner

• Rinse clean

• Wash as usual, using Super Washing Soda as a Pre-Wash option

SOAK TO REMOVE ODORS

• 1 Tbsp Thieves Household Cleaner

• 1 cup vinegar

• 1/4 cup baking soda

• 10 drops Purification essential oil blend

• Fill 5 gallon bucket half full with water

• *mixture will foam when combined

• soak clothes 20-30 minutes

• wash accordingly

• line dry outdoors
  

STAIN REMOVAL SPRAY

• 4 oz Hydrogen Peroxide

• 4 oz water

• 5 drops lemon

• combine in spray bottle

Additional stain option, apply Thieves Household cleaner, and Thieves liquid dish soap to spot
